Hi Mandrake!!! Great to see another fan on this great forum, especially from Switzerland! I've been there a few years ago in Basel and I'm also a big fan of the Swiss group named YELLO. :onfire:

Hey, don't you wanna talk about Poodle Hat european release first???

Very good news. So far, none of Amazon's European sites are listing it (although their French site is offering the Region 1 DVD....), but they are sometimes slow about listing items before their release dates (or ON their release dates, for that matter).

Can one find it safe to assume it'll be released in Region 4 shortly after?

I'm surprised there hadn't been one already.

I don't know how MGM normally handles their Region 4 DVDs, but is this an unusually long amount of time after a Region 1 release?

Yeah, the time is a bit long. It's usually about 4 months after the Region 1 releases.

Region 2 Features!

Post by CatraDhtem »

Well, I wish it was good news.

According to the back cover, the Region 2 DVD will only include the trailer....yikes!

It doesn't even look like it will have the same Al-interactive menus as the Region 1 disc:

http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/reviews/b ... age=uhf001

It looks as though the DVD will also have the standard-issue scene selection, five spoken languages, and eight subtitle languages.

You can read some more about it (and see the front and back covers) by clicking here:

The links this site provides for ordering do not seem to have UHF listed yet, so I have a feeling this was only just recently announced.
