I don't really see how TMBG have a style they seem to play a wide variety of styles but i kinda see it in those songs

Added "Switchboard Susan", supposedly the basis of "Airline Amy" according to Wikipedia.

(No, I've never heard of it either... but I'm getting it at the moment, because I wanna hear for myself.)

EDIT: I'm not hearing it... but that seems like Al's most obvious target.

There are a lot of songs not included on the list. "Good Enough for Now" is a parody of the entire country music gender; not any artist in particular.
I'm ranking every Beatles song on my new pop culture blog. Check it out!

* Style parody of "See The Constellation" by They Might Be Giants
[Many people have also said that this song was a style parody of "Pleasant Valley  Sunday" by the Monkees, but the similarities are minimal.]
I know "Pleasant Valley Sunday" forward & backward & I just don't hear any similarities. As much as I'd love to have a Monkees (song) parody (as they didn't have one particular style), this one isn't it.

*after JUST re-listening to IRL again...*

Although... I can see how some may think the ending is the parody (in PVS it's known as "pyscho jello"). It's similar, though everything didn't mesh together as much & IRL ended with a fade, PVS doesn't. I'd give you the ending, but no more than that.
Every time I use my brain I get in trouble.
