Your Skip Songs

Wow, I almost hate to even say but here goes:

Weasel Stomping Day
Pancreas (sometimes)
Party at the Leper Colony
A Complicated Song (sometimes)
Close but No Cigar
Everything You Know is Wrong (sometimes)
TITDT
I Remember Larry
Jerry Springer
Pretty Fly for a Rabbi (sometimes)
Truck Drivin' Song (sometimes)

I like these songs, but sometimes I just don't feel like listening to them.

i listen to all on SOL except TITD(it's too long) and close but no cigar
i always skip callin in sick and cavity search, gump,

i have a test on the digestive system tomorrow, so i'll listen to pancreas a lot tonight

i like all of the songs, but i just feel like listening to certin ones certin times

To tell you the truth I don't skip any. I have listened to every single one. I do however skip certain ones depending on the day. I don't do it cause I don't like them. Stop skipping songs you hooligan! lol jk

some I hear over and over (and over and over

), a few I 'set aside' to enjoy now and then - not sure why - I do like them. But I tend to skip The Plumbing Song, Phony Calls and Twister. I love Al - I love Star Wars - but I almost always skip The Saga Begins because I cannot stand the original song (bad associations with an annoying backstabbing friend from long ago who loved American Pie). Perhaps in time the 'Al Factor' will "heal" the song for me.

The songs I skip, I generally tend to like. Usually I'm just not in the mood to listen to them at that time.

Overall, there's only one song of Al's I can say I don't like at all.

slightly related I think... my "skip songs" change from time to time... as do my "repeat songs" - but they have nothing to do with whether it's a parody or an original song. I do like to peruse Weird Al reviews and articles and people "out there" are not always enthusiastic about Al's original stuff. Like, heellllooooo, Hardware Store!! not to mention many others. Something tells me non-fans just hear a parody or two and just skip the rest

Sadly that seems to be the case. Some of my favorite songs by him are the non-parody stuff, but most people I know are like, "Oh, the parody guy. That Coolio parody was funny."
