"weird" Instruments

I love the vibra-slap. It has a great sound to it that isn't heard in music that often. Very unique.

I remember my mother showing me a vibra slap at a music store. She always wanted one, but never got it. *she loved percussion* I'll have to check out prices, just to see. I've heard them in very few songs, but they've definitely been around a while.

Just found out about this today while looking at the liner notes to DTBS. Yet another of Al's talents I guess!

I really wanna get one of those. They're one of the coolest instruments ever.

Check this out: In a wiki about the vibraslap. they mention Al! Well, they initially mention Cake, but the first song mentoned is Close But No Cigar!

I found a wiki about the theremin, but there is no mention of Al. Perhaps someone who edits wikipedia could remedy that. There is a section about popular music that would really be more complete if Al and Slime Creatures From Outer Space were mentioned.

the vibraslap was used in one part in genius in france. it was in the part before the line "Folks in my hometown think I'm a fool"

I don't see a vibraslap listed for Genius in France on the PH cd insert. But, then again, they just list percussion for Jon, so he could have done that.

Um, did you read all of what I said? I didn't say anything about there not being a vibraslap, I just said it wasn't listed.
