People consider Bob to be a music video just because it has music and is a video... but that could be considered a segment of ALTV. Do any of you consider any musical numbers from The Muppet Show or Sesame Street to be "music videos"? What about the various musical numbers on The Simpsons or Family guy?

Definitely a music video. And a parody of a very popular (at the time) music video. Spy hard? I don't think it is a music video. It's a movie theme, which is also a parody of the 007 franchise movie themes.weird user @ Mar 1 2007, 01:55 PM wrote: Now that I think about it... should Money for Nothing/ Beverly Hilbillies

Ding, ding, ding! Give Weirduser a twinkie weiner sandwich! That's EXACTLY what it is.

But I don't want a twinkie weiner sandwhich. I'd rather have spaghetti, or pizza, or lasagna.... maybe I can give my sandwhich to the poor....
I wonder what would happen if Al started to make new music videos of older songs for future ALTV specials. There are a lot of great songs that are not music videos.

are you all insane? Bob is a music video. It's a visual representation of a song, which is a direct spoof of Bob Dylan's Homesick Blues video (which was played on one of the early Al TV's!). Who cares HOW it was presented? I mean, it wasn't a MTV/VH1-rotation video, even though I'm pretty sure I remember it appearing on VH1 on one of their regular music video shows, but that doesn't change the definition of it. Are you saying that before MTV was founded, music videos didn't exist? Even The Beatles made a number of music videos (one of which was spoofed in the UHF video).
I think the better debate should be whether videos such as I Can't Watch This (which is technically just half a video, with the gaps filled in from the original Hammer video) and Polkarama count as videos.
And remember that Al did make music videos for Lasagna and Livin In The Fridge, years after they were released, so don't rule the idea out of him making more videos for older songs...

Well, I don't really consider those to be music videos.
