It's been at $41 for a few days already. Like most eBay auctions, people who REALLY want it are probably waiting until the very end to put in their bids, so that they don't drive the price up too high and so that they make other people feel over confident in their bids and then they come in and snipe you at the last second.
If you REALLY want P&tW, make sure you're at your computer when it gets down to the last five minutes of the auction and be prepared to bid quickly to get in the last bid.

Yeah, that's what I did to get my copy. Now I was lucky. The auction was ending at 5:00 in the morning. I had to set my alarm to wake myself up and bid on it. No one else was up apparently, so easy $35.

I emailed Wendy Carlos and she said that they're working on trying to get it reissued but there are some legal hurdles with it.
