Al shortening songs

Post by BIGAlfan2711 »

Al always shortens the songs he parodies(well, sometimes). how come? there's a bunch of shortened songs:
1. Eat It
2. Canadian Idiot
3. Bedrock Anthem
4. Fat
etc.

Know any more? think ya know why? then just reply.
Al's working on Album #14 RIGHT NOW (kinda)!!!!

He doesn't want people to get bored. And I think I'd agree that it's better to have 3 really funny verses than 3 really funny and 2 so so verses in a song.

White & Nerdy and Do I Creep You Out from SOL are both missing a complete verse from the original.

Trapped in the Drive-Thru is shorter than the original, too. . .but you can forgive him for that.

Al has stated in the past that he cuts out the repetitive parts on purpose with the general rule of thumb "if its not funny, dont do it"

how does this apply to "syndicated, inc." or "a complicated song"?
taste is only something if it is yours.

I tend to just try to block out Syndicated Inc from my memory entirely.

I tend to just skip it entirely when listening to Bad Hair Day.

Yeah, definitely not the best song on that album.. I remember the original song being repetitive as hell, so al obviously cut it down to make it sound better, but the song was more serious than funny

I only like "Syndicated Inc." (in a sort of "don't mind it if it shows up on random in the background while I'm not really listening" like) because I like the song "Misery" so much. Al didn't improve upon it (okay, maybe the accordion solo) but nor did he subtract from it.
