i remember the very first time i played ddr 2 years ago, my first thought was "dude, it'd be awesome if they put weird al music on here" ddr is an awesome game. me and my friends hang out in the arcade and play ddr every day. but you couldnt just put a weird al song on there, it just wouldnt fit with ddr. they'd have to make some kind of techno remix of a weird al song, which would be awesome. they have "living in america" on ddrmax2, it sounds nothing like the original song except the part where it says "living in america" and i thought it'd be cool if they just changed it to "living with a hernia" maybe someday i'll make a new ddr game called "weird al revolution" it's just too bad i dont know anything about making games, or even techno remixes of stuff. oh well.

Dance With Intensity

Post by Happy Steve »

If you are absolutely serious about creating a "Weird Al" Revolution-type game, then you should use a PC-based simulator called "Dance With Intensity" found at http://dwi.ddruk.com/

For one thing, it's free.

Basically, you have to create a folder that contains:

mp3 or wav file of the song

dwi file (describes the arrows, read the document on how)

background image

banner image (used in the "choose a song" menu)

The program provides the rest. Connecting a playstation dance pad to your PC is a little tricky, but the site provides the how to.

Disclaimer: Once you do create your own DWI files and you want to share it with the rest of the world, do NOT distribute the mp3/wav file. Anyone who wants to dance to your "steps" needs to own the music legally.

I have seen a lot of great suggestions but how about "Gotta Boogie"? How can we forget that song? It's got a great beat, a booger and you can dance to it. LOL :P

Maybe I shouldn't have used the poke tongue smiley. That might imply something gross. HA!

We already have a topic for StepMania in Fan Creativity. Let's see if I can find it.
Cane and Rinse: weekly thoughtful video game discussion. Give it a listen, won't you?

I requested an Al song at a dance once. The only one they had was Amish Paradise. Everyone kinda' stopped dancing when it came on and just stood there and listened.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it!

My top three dance along songs are...

1. Eat It, expescially the M.J. type dancing at the end of the video.
2. Couch Potato, you just wanna wave your hands in the air like Eminem at the end of 8-Mile.
and...
3. Bedrock Anthem, you just wanna go crazy.

But i think i would be singing more than dancing.....I have an uncontrolable urge to sing if i hear certain songs
Now my best sing along songs are

ANYTHING FROM OFF THE DEEP END to POODLE HAT
