That depends... are you only listing officially released parodies, or are you counting concert-only parodies?JEDM wrote:

Re: "Weird Al's" Female Parodies
The list is of officially released parodies. I know a few a couple of the concert only/unreleased songs, but I'd have to look up a few of the groups from the '80's.NH Weird Al Fan wrote:That depends... are you only listing officially released parodies, or are you counting concert-only parodies?JEDM wrote:

...also, do you think it would if be fair to include groups even if they're not made up of all women? (Thompson Twins)

Just stick to the female led song that he did parodies of... don't need to count it if there was a woman in a band, that doesn't count..
...our neighbors septic tank was the closest thing we had..

If you're including concert songs too then you missed Alanis Morissette and Celine Dion... but that's just off the top of my head. There might be more.

Re: "Weird Al's" Female Parodies
I expected there to be a lot more than this, but his lack of parodies of the other gender make sense, considering the fact that seeing female artists get really big was rare until recently.
How old was that last signature? I mean, really?

Re: "Weird Al's" Female Parodies
That is a strange statement. Mostly due to the falsity of it. How can you say female artists getting really big is rare? Im just gonna throw it out there: Madonna. Cher. Two huge artists. There have been tons of female singers that got big. They may not have lasted, but how many male artists have lasted?
