The second longest time between two albums was between RWS and PH. About four years. I`ll say it will be perfect as long as it takes only two or three years, and not 4 or 5.

I think 4 years is good. Yes its hard for us, but think of it this way, Al tours for two years at a time. Why cant he have two years for his family? The wait sucks, but so does being awy from your family

IDEA: put out more content and tour less often. maybe an album every year and a half. and a tour every 3 or 4 years. i prefer more recorded material to tours anyways.

The problem with that is that the parodies are the selling point to people outside the fanbase. If fewer of the parodies from an album are new when the album is released, it will likely not sell as well.

And that would result in an originals-only album, which Al has already said he's not interested in doing.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

Well it's not like there won't be any parodies on the next album because of that.

If Al were to preview four parodies as soon as they're ready, it's not like it would be much longer. The parodies are the last thing Al writes and records for a reason. Also, Alpocalypse did pretty awesome for an album that with half the album already made commercially available. You should also take into consideration that everyone could listen to Alpocalypse in its entirety for free, days before the album came out. I highly doubt the sales figures are a concern as far as that goes.

I think if Al does the leaks thing again, he should wait until just before the album is released and release them one at a time over a period of no more than a few months. To release them two and three years ahead of the album is not a good idea.
