You might have something there, Grom. The only time I noticed him talking really fast was when he started telling the Madonna story. He seemed to be talking at a normal pace otherwise.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

No matter how fast Al felt he had to talk or how much of the same answers he rehashed from every other interview he has ever done, this interview was very fun to watch. Al and Seth managed to make it very engaging. It was also much better than I was expecting since I thought Seth was just going to reminisce with Al about his Emmy appearance. I was pretty amazed to hear that Al's label had initially signed him to a 10 record deal in 1982 considering how few others viewed him too much as a "novelty" act to sign him.

I enjoyed the interview, too, Casey. I like that Seth brought up Al's first time on TV, singing "Another One Rides The Bus" with Jon, and how he was in the same building, aka 30 Rock. I know we've all heard the story about the Tomorrow show, but not everyone has, so I thought it was great that they talked about it. Who knew that 31 years later, Al would be on a TV show named after that building? Funny how things work out.

I'm glad they didn't just talk about the Emmy thing thoughWizzerkat wrote:This makes perfect sense since they worked together on the Emmy thing. I hope I remember to record it!

It wasn't just the same building. It was on the same soundstage!algonacchick wrote:how he was in the same building, aka 30 Rock
