we've never heard him swear before. (is ass a swear word?)
Yeah, I mean, nowadays, it's not really taboo anymore to say it on television. He even said it back in an AL-TV skit, dubbing over a music video (I can't remember which one, but he was referring to a literal Donkey with the exclamation, "Get your ass out of here!")

It's pretty mild, if anything. It's certainly not the first time Al has said it. Then again, he never really uses it in a derogatory way, which to me, is the guideline for a curse word. Also, the ALTV thing doesn't count; you can call a donkey that.
There's that one person who makes that reference every time we talk about Al swearing...

It's still relevant because literally everytime Al says something more explicit than "crap", there's this huge discussion about how he doesn't swear et cetera. Personally, it's getting a little tiresome.
The world's standards for what's considered obscene and offensive has moved on. Hell, the Deadpool movie is using the word ass in it's promotional advertising. I've seen it on school buses, for god's sake. Bastard is a step up from that, and it's still barely controversial. Especially when songs are discussing much darker topics like sexual harassment, mass homocide and foreign policy and this is what causes us to have another discussion using the same points?
Al said piss and hell (And obsessed over nekkid ladies) on the Brak Show.
The purpose of this forum is to catalog every word Al has ever said and will ever say.

I would like to point out I was not criticising it. In fact, I am glad he is "loosening up" a bit!

It should also be noted that Al tends to say more "lewd" things rather than sing them. There's plenty out there of him not being completely PG, and even more being produced right now. He'll be in the new seasons of Comedy Bang! Bang! and Bojack Horseman. We're bound to hear more sexy bad words come out of his mouth.

Alicia are you sure you are ready for a more bad boy Al?
