Setlist Survivor R1

Post by TMBJon »

Here is a new twist on the evergreen Survivor franchise.
Over the course of the next few weeks, we will do a good ol' WOWAY Survivor poll game based on the 2011-2013 Alpocalypse tour setlist.
The idea is not to vote on your least favorite song necessarily, but the one you would miss least from the setlist if it were pulled for the next tour.
Perhaps it will provide Al with some valuable insight as he crafts the next setlist.
We'll see how this goes...
I couldn't tell a dirt clod from a plate of caviar.

Should Polka Face be an option? It's obviously going to be replaced by the new polka. Or is it there in case someone doesn't want to hear a polka at all during the new tour?

Gotta cut the Alpacolypse songs down - starting with Perform This Way.

I wouldn't miss Perform This Way too much. To me, it doesn't have the staying power of a lot of Al's other lead parodies. It's not a classic in the same sense as AP, SLN, TSB, etc.

Yeah, seems like a given that Polka Face won't be performed on the MF tour.

Perform This Way. Good song, but for the same reasons as stated by Kevbo.

Perform This Way. For the same reasons already stated.

(Also, Smells Like Nirvana seems to be missing from the poll.)

You're right SLN is missing. That was an oversight on my part but it wasn't gonna go out in round one so I don't feel too badly about it. Plus I hit the 27-option max anyway.

I'm honestly going to consider voting for it in a bit (for reasons I'll state when we get to that point). But yeah, no way I'd do so the first few rounds.

I originally voted for "Fat", because it's the one song that I'm not really a huge fan of that he's performed at every show I've attended going back to 1994. Love the video, but the song itself is just so-so for me. I wouldn't miss it at all from the live show. Still, I know it isn't going to go out in Round 1 since it's probably a fan fave, so I went with the majority and switched to PTW since it's not as timeless as most of the others.

But I will be voting for "Fat" in a future round. Spoiler alert.
