Our long national nightmare is over. Again a record-breaking number of people turned out, and Sports Song finally met its match.

Voted Out:
1. Inactive (53% of 30 votes cast)
2. Mission Statement (45% of 40 votes cast)
3. My Own Eyes (39% of 41 votes tie; 52% of 42 votes in runoff)
4. Jackson Park Express (47% of 38 votes cast)
5. Lame Claim To Fame (49% of 43 votes cast)
6. Sports Song (51% of 49 votes cast)

High five to whomever voted the last moment and kicked SS out. I wanted to vote the last moment too, but didn't know when exactly is "early friday morning", so I voted a couple hours too early which, of course, caused someone to vote against handy

I switched when the vote was still 22/23, but being in the Eastern time zone makes it tough to get in at the last minute. Glad to see others were still able to thwart the evildoers.

Hmmm....looking over the list I have to say I think "Tacky" is going to be my next choice. It's great and all, but I honestly enjoy the others a wee bit better.

First thing's first -- Thank goodness "Sports Song" is out. There is no reason it should've lasted that long.

That being said, it's getting to the point where most of the remaining songs are about tied for me (especially since my favorite song, "Mission Statement" went out a long time ago). I actually do enjoy "Handy" a lot -- mostly because I finally learned all the words and can sing along with it in my car -- but there's one song in particular that I have a tendency to skip more than the other five. I've made peace with the idea that "Handy" is probably going out this round, but I'm voting for something else anyway.

I called the guy from "Handy", and he fixed the pro-"Sports Song" bias for me.

In lieu of paying him, I decided to put him out of a job instead.
