Most risque/controversial song?

Post by Teh Dingo »

Yep. Another wacky spacedingo© brand poll. In the wake of the "Wanna B Ur Lovr" controversy, what's Al's most risque song (Yeah...I don't know how to do the accent mark...sue me)? The one that you're afraid most to play around your parents or kids. You know, the people that see Al as a G rated, Disney, goody two shoes guy (OK, not that he's that offensive, but you know what I mean). Here's the list:

Wanna B Ur Lovr (Obviously)

Jerry Springer (The one that seems to give "WBUL" a run for the money)

Melanie (Stalking! How nice!)

Polka Your Eyes Out (Hey! Have you listened to it lately? It's easier to name a song in there that's not about sex!)

Trigger Happy (Good old fashioned violence)

The Night Santa Went Crazy (More good old fashioned violence)

Talk Soup (What is it with these daytime talk shows?)

Christmas at Ground Zero (Al and Christmas apparently don't like each other)

Other (Because like my other polls...I'm sure someone will want an option that's not there!)

No, I didn't count songs that are just one or two lines ("Self service pump", "Upright and locked position", and of course, the ever offensive "Hitting on the Queen :) etc...)

My mom knows he's not "G" rated :P

I voted WBUL. That's probably his worst when you examine things. Talking about wanting to have sex, talking about wanting to see the girl undress, that's different than alot of his stuff.

There's songs I never listen to, let alone let anyone else hear them.

Trigger Happy isn't the most horrible song he's ever written, neither is Melanie(except for the shower part)

Jerry Springer is somewhat understandable, because crap like that goes on the show.

Talk Soup is the same as above.

I don't even normally listen to Polka Your Eyes Out, for the reason it was posted.

TNSWC never bothered me(my mom, a little)

I think "Why Does This Always Happen to Me" should've been up there. I think that's the most violent song that "goes into detail".

And my mom loves "Christmas at Ground Zero", it's hilarious.

But normally, I don't play "Weird Al" in the car. It's usually Spike Jones if anything of mine...and if it is Al, I usually fastfoward through alot of songs(the ones that deal with sex, LOUD ones, etc)

Violent ones don't bother us too much.

I had to go with "Good Old Days" too.

"Wanna B Ur Lovr" may be about wanting, but you just know that guy's going home alone.

There's certainly a nice menu of choices for eyebrow-raising songs, though, isn't there?

It was a toss up between WBUL and Jerry Springer but I voted Springer mostly because there is a big jump from inuendos to sleeping with goats. Maybe that's just me.

I didn't think any of them were particularly controversial or risque. But whatever. :eh:

I voted "Christmas At Ground Zero" because some radio stations felt it was controversial enough to refuse to play it.

I haven't felt really any of these are risque, but meh. I went for Christmas at Ground Zero cause of the radio thing.

I've known very Christmasy feeling people who love both TNSWC and CAGZ, just not around Christmas time.

I'd go for Jerry Springer or Talk Soup. I NEVER play those 2 in front of my mom.

Wanna B Ur Lovr - they never said anything...

My parents like Melanie.

Polka Your Eyes Out, it's a polka. Al didn't really write any of that.

Trigger Happy - my parents don't have a problem with it.

Night Santa Went Crazy - they never say anything

Christmas at Ground Zero - no problems
