Song of the Yankovics

As you all know, today is Al and Suzanne's 15th wedding anniversary and also Nina becomes a teenager today.
To commemorate this moment, I wrote a song for them. I hope you all like it.

As if the petals poured down like rain,
onto a beautiful girl's eyes.
Watch her happiness explode into pieces
her name, Nina, always comes to mind...

Curly auburn hair, beautiful brown eyes,
Alfred is my name...
I've went through a terrible love life,
but when I met this woman, I was stunned
Cupid made my wishes come true

[chorus]
Anyways, this is a song, about my family
We are the Yankovics
This is a song about us, the rich family we became
And how everything changed since then
I can tell, there's a smile on your face
for the song you're about to hear
So listen to my story
the story we have filled
over the many years we have seen together

The love of my life, happiness around her
Blue eyes and flowing hair
Luscious as it was
I felt the earth beneath me
Trembling in side, heart was beating,
this woman was the love of my life
Hand in hand
We were just going to be married
I felt happiness and excitement
And I could really tell
a miracle was going to happen

[chorus]

Wedding day, came along
Everybody cheered and smiled
It had all changed, beautiful day
Rainbow came along and changed it all
Then, a year after, we decided to have a child
I can remember the day, she was rushed in
Our beautiful girl, Nina, was sitting there beautifully

and I don't know about you
She was an instant stunner
Her beautiful eyes, the little stubs of hair,
I knew she was my baby

[chorus]

Made an album, toured the US once again
Midway through, disaster struck
Parents were dead
Never got to say goodbye
Must admit, was dead inside
Thank god, I have a family
Or else I would've felt alone
The love had cured up the pain
And I can tell you, it felt better

[chorus]

That was just the beginning, we spent our lives together
Released more albums, toured more, did more
I now love my life, I cherish every moment
Suzanne is just a beautiful woman
And there's Nina, still young at heart like me
Playing along with empty nature
She ain't interested in no hashtags, iPhones or nothin'
She just plays there by herself
Yes, she just plays there by herself

[chorus x2]

Good job with the song. I'm sure it'll be very pretty. Al and Suzanne's 15th anniversary was yesterday though.

Their anniversary is the 10th, Nina's birthday is the 11th.
Absolutely no idea what Teamspeak is.

Is it just me or does that sound like something horrible has happened to her?

Heds,
I'm so touched by your lyrics.
I just watched The Big Interview and this captures the feeling I got from Al perfectly.
I recently lost my parents and the love of my life suddenly. (I never got to say good bye either). Your lines made tears well up in my eyes.
I LOVED your last lines about Nina. I'm a nature girl who is most comfortable alone in the woods and I could really relate.
Thank you so much for such a beautiful song. I wish I knew how I could hear it.

I was going to preform it on a Teamspeak server but I didn't have the time. I might do something with it soon, you never know.

Anyways, I am a good singer-songwriter myself. I always love to see the outcome I get, so thank you! ^_^

Also, I'm so sorry for your losses. The pain gets better, trust me  :flower:
