Not Quite Normal's Amazing Adventures in Nerditynissityation

Post by giantlobsterrobot »

Hi.
My name's Jason and I'm the parody/comedy band called:

NOT QUITE NORMAL

Rather than clogging up the discussion for parodies we've all written with a bunch of Not Quite Normal stuff, I decided to step on out and make my own area.
Although I have not gotten lots of exposure, I do feel I write well. In fact, I enjoy writing the songs so much, but I don't have musical talent other than rapping and poking at a keyboard. I also don't have others in my area who wish to work with me on producing these songs (musicians or those who could actually produce a quality sounding recording.)

This is an example of one of my more popular songs.
It's called "The Nerd Touch" and is a parody of "Bad Touch" by The Bloodhound Gang
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0Oxxr6hzSU" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

As far as original songs go, this is my most popular original song. It's called "Disembodied Body Boy" and is a mockery of children's music.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mkDm8m-pBw" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I have decided to write some songs for a theoretical new album, and if anyone would like to record them, let me know.
More posts will be added here in the near future, but I just thought I'd introduce the topic for now.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to view this topic. :D

Okay. Well, although my Youtube channel page has a lot of my songs already, I just uploaded every single song from my 2000 release titled "Greatest Hits Volume 2." Some of the songs have been previously uploaded from that album, but I did put the rest up.

This is another of my more silly songs, but it almost made it onto my last cd. (In fact, about a dozen songs I wrote "ALMOST" made it onto my last cd. The first 3 that I wrote for the last cd specifically ended up not used)
Thanks for the feedback:

The original song can be heard here while you read my lyrics to it:

The George Foreman Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine (Parody of “Purple People Eater” By Sheb Wooley… as performed by The Hit Crew)

There was a barbecue at my friend’s last night
Grilling hot dogs left, grilling burgers right
I took a big bite and I said “ooh weee!
You must have a fat reducing grilling machine!”

It was the George Foreman Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine
(The George Foreman Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine)
A George Foreman Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine
Makes great food for me. (Fat free?)

Well I just couldn’t stop thinkin’ ‘bout that food
And I love to watch him grill late night on the tube.
I can’t help myself! I get gitty when
he says “That’s when my favorite son George comes in”

It was the George Foreman Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine
(The George Foreman Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine)
A George Foreman Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine
Makes great food for me. (Lean Mean!)

I saw Mr. George Foreman sign his autograph
Right onto the grill and he started to laugh
He said, “Take it from me, a dad and boxing champ
I can knock out Mike Tyson, like this knocks out the fat!”

Now I’m grilling those, dogs and those, Burgers, and vegetables,
Chicken breasts, fish fillets, steak dinners, beef brisquets
(Fat drips in the tray)
I love my Foreman Grill
And clean-up is a cinch.

Tyson showed up and he was ticked
“Foreman you’re dead, for what you said!”
He smashed Mike Tyson in the face with the grill
And said “If I don’t kill you, your cholesterol will!”

It was the George Foreman Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine
The George Foreman Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine
I like grill marks!
Hungry little burger eaters!
Have some food on me!
(Grilling Machine!)

Tyson went on his way, and wouldn’t you know
I got two tickets to the grill promo
I asked George Foreman why he chose to endorse.
He said “A heavy weight champ loves food of course!”

A MODERN PARODY! YAY!
Okay,
This one is a parody of "I Just Haven't Met You Yet" by Michael Buble'

There is talking throughout the song, and it does kind of cut out early, but the music is still going during the ending sequence...
Here's the original song to sing/read my lyrics with:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X361HzXTVt0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Reversed Roles Relationship (Parody of “I Just Haven’t Met You Yet” by Michael Buble)

OVERLY CHEESY INTRO WHILE MUSIC PLAYS BEFORE SINGING
(Jason)
Well, I’m all done changing those diapers.

(Girl)
And I fixed that broken toilet.

(Jason)
We sure are a crazy mixed up pair aren’t we?

(Girl)
You better believe it! But that’s what makes us so great together!

SINGING BEGINS
(JASON)
I do the laundry, and I fold them right.
Ev-ery crease is in place just how we like.

(GIRL)
I watch the game, and I burp all night.
I somehow got nacho cheese on the light.

(Jason)
The casarole is finished for the family.

(Girl)
And I can’t wait for my golf outing Sunday.

(Jason)
Life is so fantastic, oppositely!

(Girl)
I like killing zombies in video games

(Jason)
And I like Sodoku and my Facebook page

(BOTH)
We’re just so backwards but we’re happy with…
Our reversed roles relationship.

(TALKING)
(Jason)
Great job with the song so far.

(Girl)
It’s sounding great, Sweetie

(SINGING)
(Girl)
I drool in my sleep and I’m afraid to talk
About my feelings while we’re out on a walk.

(Jason)
I cry everyday when I watch my soaps
I can’t believe what Gregory said to Hope.

(Girl)
My feet are stinky and I make some messes

(Jason)
I like to vacuum wearing your dresses.

(Girl)

……

(Jason)
... Honey, it’s you turn.

TALKING
(Girl)
YOU WHAT!!?

(Jason)
I just thought that we were singing about the opposite stuff we do and it fit well…
Sometimes…
Well…
Sometimes… I wear one of your dresses when I vacuum.

(Girl)
Which one?

(Jason)
What?

(Girl)
Which dress do you wear?

(Jason)
The blue one.
And sometimes the black one with the… with the… you know.

(Girl)
Yes! I know. This… this is too much. I need some time to get used to this.

(Jason)
Am I supposed to finish alone? Yes?

I’ll finish it on the couch… after I make a doiley or something.

I thank you for 1) notifying me how you felt about my most recent album, and 2) your interest in my other stuff, and 3) your encouraging words when I thought I would not be writing any more parodies... even though I do enjoy it quite a bit.

Hi. This is my latest parody that I wrote. It's a love song to Eminem

The original song can be viewed here to sing along with my lyrics:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kffacxfA7G4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Shady (parody of “Baby” by Justin Bieber)

NOTE: (Instead of the Oooooh whoa whoa’s, it’s this piece)

(Talking)
Ahem. Excuse me! May I have your attention please?
Can I have, the attention of the class… for one second.
We’re gonna have a problem here.

(Singing)
You got your homies
You got your crew
But if you Lose Yourself
I will find you.
I got your back through
whatever you do.
Even dissing those more talented than you.

Love’s the weapon,
that I’m concealing
Let me tell you I’m packin’ more than feelings.
You taught me one thing right from the start
Eminems don’t melt in my hand, they melt my heart

And I was like
Shady, Shady, Shady, ohhh
Slim
Shady, Shady, Shady, yooo
Slim
Shady, Shady, Shady, ohhh
The only Marshall that Mathers to me
Shady, Shady, Shady, ohhh
Slim
Shady, Shady, Shady, yooo
Slim
Shady, Shady, Shady, ohhh
The only Marshall that Mathers to me

If you go through with killing your mother.
You can have mine; I can always find another.
We can freestyle
Down on 8 Mile
You can be my mate
We can collaborate
It was the sweetest
Yeah when you told me,
“…and just (Bleep) me ‘till you (Bleep) me (Bleep) this (Bleep) dream”
Man, you’re so hard core
It’s like watching Pee Wee Herman fighting a rap war!

And I’m like
Shady, Shady, Shady, ohhh
Slim
Shady, Shady, Shady, yooo
Slim
Shady, Shady, Shady, ohhh
The only Marshall that Mathers to me
Shady, Shady, Shady, ohhh
Slim
Shady, Shady, Shady, yooo
Slim
Shady, Shady, Shady, ohhh
The only Marshall that Mathers to me

(RAPPING)
Dear Shady, under Stan… I am your biggest fan.
It’s tight how you rap like you was black
And announce every track that you’ve come back.
I Love the Way You Lie, down on your back
We can re-enact, all of the lines from Fack (Woo!)
You’re such a wordsmith, people say no way can’t rhyme that way
But I sure get it, like how you make orange rhyme with purple
Your love’s the drug I’m taking, need rehabilitating
But one day we’ll be playing, just you and me and Hailie

(Fading out with)
Shady, Shady, Shady, ohhh
Slim
Shady, Shady, Shady, yooo
Slim
Shady, Shady, Shady, ohhh
The only Marshall that Mathers to me
Shady, Shady, Shady, ohhh
Slim
Shady, Shady, Shady, yooo
Slim
Shady, Shady, Shady, ohhh
The only Marshall that Mathers to me
AHHHHH! Neon Noodle!!!
