SURVIVOR ALL STAR PROFILE #9 AND #10
And now, our Survivor All Star Profile #9 and #10:
Bruce the Duck - An avid fan of both Al and the pioneer reality show, "Survivor," BTD decided it might be fun to combine the two on the forums of WOWAY. Little did he suspect that it would become the most popular game and one of the most popular series of threads on the entire forum. The game, "Weird Al Survivor" has spawned FOUR other editions in addition to the first one, has earned its very own website, and has also inspired other "reality show"-based games, such as "The Alprentice," set to premiere sometime after "Weird Al Survivor All Stars."
In the first season, Bruce created the challenges, hosted both the challenges and tribal councils, and coordinated all aspects of the game. The only thing he had help with were the wonderful graphics provided by scottidog. BTD adopted the smarmy, cocky attitude of "Survivor" host, Jeff Probst, and copied his mood and style almost perfectly. The game stuck stricktly to the rules of "Survivor," despite BTD's secret desire to throw in all kinds of wacky twists. But his devilish, sneaky mind would get some excersize when he became a contestant in the second series, hosted by sarley27 and anthontherun.
BTD, along with veteran Al fans, Elvis and Dr_Dad were immediate targets in the second season. Everyone wanted them out. But BTD's ability to create and simultaneously sabotage alliances, helped him to defy all odds and make it to the end. On his path to the final two, BTD betrayed everyone, especially Dr_Dad, who he blindsided with several secret, separate alliances. But out of his false alliance with Dr_Dad, grew a partnership that would grow into Survivor 5. Dr_Dad went on to host Season 3, while BTD would host All Stars, with Dr_Dad as his assistant. Even while he was manuevering his way through Season 2, Bruce had plotted a wicked set of twists to shake up All Stars.
So, will BTD deliver in Season 5? Will the twists be as shocking as he promises? What types of twists will there be? Tribal shuffles? Outcasts? Double immunities? Re-merged tribes? More than two tribes? How will BTD's sick, twisted machinations affect the game play of the contestants? Find out on January 5, 2005, when "Weird Al Survivor All Stars" begins!

Dr_Dad - As one of the most knowledgable and respected members on the forum, Dr_Dad doesn't post in sentences or paragraphs. Rather, we get a short thesis each time he logs on. During the first season of "Weird Al Survivor," Dr_Dad played close attention to the game and as a huge fan of the reality show, "Survivor," he really liked what he was seeing. He was a judge on one of the challenges and offered his knowledge for use in Survivor challenges. But he really showed his devotion to the game when he stepped onto the island during Season 2.
As a contestant in the game, Dr_Dad knew he was a target. He made it an immediate goal to form a solid alliance with Bruce the Duck. Working together, the power duo plowed over their other tribemates. When it came time for the merge, Dr_Dad spoke enthusiastically about forming a three-way alliance with Elvis and BTD. He spoke of a "Battle Royale" at the end of the game. But his alliance partners had different ideas. Elvis didn't trust BTD as far as he could throw him and worked behind Dr_Dad's back to eliminate BTD. However, Bruce had formed an alliance with Elvis' former tribe mates and successfully plotted to eliminate Elvis and then Dr_Dad.
During the third season, Dr_Dad introduced a lot of brand new elements to the game as he stepped into the role of host. He introduced brand new snazzy graphics for Tribal Councils. He created intricate, extremely difficult challenges, most notably "AL-Gebra" and "Greatest Hits (Dr_Dad's version of the medley challenge, which featured an insane web of puzzles and brainbusters. While the majority of the Season 3 cast was considered by most fans to be mediocre, noone can deny the wonderful job Dr_Dad did hosting.
Now, as All Stars looms over us all, Dr_Dad will take on the role of Mark Burnett, but rather than being Jeff Probst's boss, Doc will be more of the "assistant." So, what new elements will Dr_Dad help introduce in season 5? How will he help make BTD's already difficult challenges even harder? How many hairs will you pull out of your head when you attempt to complete his immensely challenging "Greatest Hits?" Will he actually reply to BTD's PMs and help with the season?
