To close, I'll just say that it's been a fun and challenging 4½ months.
Tribemates & competitors, it was good getting to know each of you a little better. I hope to keep seeing you all around the forum, and who knows, maybe someday when we're old and grey we'll be reminiscent about all the fun we had in Fall of 2007.
A big thank you you to LN3000 and DumbN00b both for your hard work creating and hosting each of the challenges. Despite the mid-season controversy, the game worked out pretty darn well. The challenges were all well planned and executed by you both.
And a special mention of thanks to WHiZZi and all the moderators for keeping WOWAY up and running so we can have competitions like this.

Welcome to the Big Humongous Weird Al Survivor VIII Award Ceremony and Reunion Special!
Well, I'm not really the one for speeches, but I'll do my best to cover everything.
Where to begin?
Well, thank you everyone who has played the game, despite the bumps in the road. Also thanks to those who have followed along watching.
So as it stands right now, we have U62 and Keir. You have come quite a way, and now here in my hands I hold your fate. Which one of you becomes the Sole Survivor, and which one ends up being second best?
Who gets the grand prize, and who gets what is in the box.
Well, instead of keeping the suspense going, I shall reveal the votes.
First vote is from this_is_the_life
Hm... it's blank....
Let's try this again..
First vote: SPOILER KeirSecond vote: SPOILER KeirThird vote: SPOILER Keir
and the fourth vote is for SPOILER Keir!
And that's enough to declare Keir as the winner!

Wow! Thank you! I'm sure this must be a case of everyone thinking I am slightly more worthy because I really don't feel like I deserved such a landslide. Thank you all for voting for me, and thank you again RJ for being a great partner. Seems like you're destined for second place in every contest! (WOWAY Idol, anyone?) And thank you for Stephen for the cool prize, I really wasn't expecting to win anything.
Finally, I spoke with Stephen earlier about possibly hosting the next season (which now isn't all that far away). I am definitely interested. My only concern is that by then I'll have a new baby and won't have the time to commit to it. Therefore, if I were to take on the responsibilities of WOWAY Survivor IX host, I think it would be better to do it with a co-host. RJ, would you be interested?
