So just checking - I cannot listen to this song right now, right? I missed my window?

As a former skipper all I have to say is I think I have a new favorite Al song. (And I'm only halfway through it.) :)

I am a big fan of this song. Is it supposed to be a style parody of anything? After one listen, sounds like it could be a straight original?

I was just about to ask that myself. It sounds like a true original to me.

It could very well be TMBJon! Al did say he would do more of his own originals in an article a few months ago didn't he? I LOVE THE SONG! It's awesome! It really is catchy and it's going to be hard to get the tune out of my head.

A couple of people in the now closed spoiler thread said they thought it sounded like Fountains of Wayne. I could see that. I do like the song a lot. Very catchy and fun!
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

I think its a lot of fun and sounds original to me as well.. along the lines of stuff he did ages ago. Its a sort of Back To Basics Al.. that shows his skill as musician and as lyricist very well indeed

Yeah, I can definitely see Fountains of Wayne now that I'm listening a second time.
