Guitar/amp Question

Hi Jim, first welcome to the boards. It's a pleasure to have you here. Anyway here's my question: I'm a guitar player in a band. Right now my gear consists of a Ibanez Talman guitar and a Kramer DMZ 2000 guitar run through a Nady wireless system into a Seymour Duncan Pickup booster, to a Boss ME-50 into a Pignose G40V. Now, I can't seem to get a good distorted sound when I use the ME-50 with my amp. The only one that sounds good is the Big Muff setting, but that sounds to heavy for the kind of music my band plays *(Beatles)* So, any suggestions as to what I can set it on so it'll sound somewhat decent? Thanks!
