Somebody tell Dweezil Zappa to clear his calendar for summer, 2010.

I think Jim could handle the opening guitar solo just fine if this song was gonna be sung live. Who said it absolutlyhas to be Dweezil anyway?

Well, maybe just for one show. Why not? Ben Folds played WDTAHTM at Summerfest.

You don't understand. Minnick is a huge Zappa fan. Besides, it's Dweezil Zappa... :inlove:
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

I like this song. I'm not a huge Zappa fan, so I probably don't appreciate it as much as others. Which is kinda weird, because I like "bob" despite not being a Dylan fan.

But overall, from the little bit I've heard of Zappa, it kinda matches his style. Plus, any song where they say "Sign my poodle" is hilarious.

No I didn't really message Dweezil. I am confident if the song were ever to be performed Jim would knock it out perfectly. Although Dweezil did use Franks guitar for it, so there is a certain magic from that instrument that may not be able to be duplicated.

i've always wondered if there was a reason for al relentlessly slamming jerry lewis for like ten minutes. not that i like jerry lewis, i could care less about that guy. but it seems a little out-of-character for al. a little.. mean? to just rip and rip on an old man who dedicated much of his life to fundraising for sick children? again, i don't give a darn about jerry lewis, but a facts a fact, right? i've always theorized to myself (because most of my friends aren't interested in hearing my weird al conspiracy theories LOL) that jerry lewis made some kind of disparaging remark about al in the past and al's just evening the score. you know, because a lot of 'serious' comics (oxymoron alert) find it easy to slam al.

just my little theory. anybody wanna weigh in? this has seriously been knocking around in my head since the first time i heard PH.

oh, and btw i LOVE Genius In France. i think it's brilliant and that FZ would have been very, very impressed.

oooookay... here are the insults focused directly on one jerry lewis. who, and i canNOT stress this enough, probably deserves it and does not have my sympathy at all.

Ok, maybe I'm just stupid, but I agree with Barney Slayer & say that it's not insulting Jerry, it's poking at French people. I fail to see still how it's poking at Jerry. I don't get it. Maybe I'm dumber than a bag of rocks. lol

Just because Jerry Lewis was hero worshipped in France for a few years doesnt mean that this song is making fun of him. My ex lived in France for 6 months 10 years ago and she said she didnt see one thing Jerry Lewis the whole time. The way I see it is the character that Al is portraying has taken over for Jerry Lewis.
