Yeah, I sort of get the feeling that was a response to this thread. Cool.

...and he not only acknowledged the fact that I lamented The Rugburns not being included in the Special Thanks section, it sounds like he's going to actually start including bands he style parodies moving forward!

Wow.

I actually kinda feel bad about this. I wasn't trying to imply Al was a bad person or anything.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to take credit for an original thought or anything. Just noting the similarities between the thoughts I had yesterday and the thoughts expressed in the answer.

Certainly wasn't trying to steal anyone's thunder (GMTA and all that).

It's extremely cool how close his answer was to your quote, though, and I agree ... it would appear that he reads this thread. And as a fan, that feels pretty good!!

hehe, you know, I was just messin' with ya, Ak! You know I love you!

I think it's cool that we both were on the same wave length as Al!

I agree, it feels pretty good to know Al is so in tune with us, most likely because he reads what we post.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

But he didn't mention anything about boysenberry toothpaste...

:lookaround:

It's definitely no coincidence that that popped up over there after all the discussion about this here recently... hope that soothes the people that were feeling like someone had stolen their kickball and slashed it (thus deflating it).

So now I guess the big question to discuss is who likes the idea of Al thanking those who inspired the style parodies and who would rather prefer having to guess and speculate?

Oh, I would definitly prefer guessing. It's more fun that way (Though one could see why Al's starting to feel that way)

you could just not look at the liner notes until you've guessed who inspired the style parodies.....that way we'll probably figure them out quicker too :P

I could do that, but just like when I swore not to look at the liner notes when Running With Scissors came out so I wouldn't see who was in the polka, I'll probably break that promise before I get to the songs in question
