Actually, the original version of "It's All About the Benjamins" isn't the song that Al parodied! IAATP is the only time (other than for cover versions) when Al has parodied a remix of a song.

I have the CD single of "Benjamins" which contains 4 different versions of the song. The remix version that Al parodied also featured (in addition to Notorious BIG, Lil' Kim, and The Lox) Dave Grohl (of Nirvana), Perfect, Fuzzbubble, and Rob Zombie!

The original version without the heavy metal parts sounds really lame. I'm glad Al chose to parody the remix version.

Thanks for the info, Jeremy. I've heard a bit of Puffy's live version on a New Year's mtv special. That's the version I was talking about. He had a musical track playing in the background. Al's song is WAY better!
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Hmm. I never saw that. Did it have the loud guitars or not?

No, it was just like club music. I only heard the beginning.

I love the video for IAATP for many reasons, and of course, my favorite? Welll.....it's not a silver suit, more like what the guy in the silver suit's standing in front of

Okay. That sounds like it was the original version, which I don't really care for. The Rock Remix is much better.

I think he's talking about the Pentiums Girls. Who, BTW, don't dance all that well. They look like they got about 2 minutes practice before taping started.
