Hey guys, a friend of mine recently watched the "UHF" video with me and he noticed something. He said that the thing with the TV screen is a parody of an Ozzy Ozborne video. He said there is an Ozzy Ozborne video in which you start with a very similar looking TV set which zooms in to the screen. There is a bunch of little videos within the video on the TV, just like in UHF, with the channels flipping between them. At the end of the Ozzy video, you zoom out from the TV set and the set explodes, just like in Al's version.
He didn't remember what the specific Ozzy video was called, but he swears that that was in an Ozzy video. Is this true? If so, is the parody intentional or not? After all, he doesn't list Ozzy as a parodied artist on the liner notes for the video collection. I'm thinking this is most likely a coincidence, but it's still interesting...if it's true. It wouldn't be the only time Al's borrowed an idea of Ozzy's (beginning of TNSWC). So, can anyone confirm this?
