With the 'review thread' trend going around, I thought I'd devote one to my favorite ALbum.......... EVEN WORSE!
1. Fat - My second favorite Al song ever. Hilarious! The jokes are great and never grow old. I still like it as much as I did five years ago, and it was a fav of mine back then! The video is awesome as well! 11/10
2. Stuck In A Closet With Vanna White - While it's said to be an Aerosmith style parody, it sounds to me like a soundalike of early-era Van Halen (with Feel Your Love Tonight being the closest match). It has complete randomness in its lyrics, which I like. Plus, I used to watch Wheel of Fortune a lot when I was younger, so this song should have been one of my favorites. Yet, something's missing which would have put it over the top, and I can't figure out what. 7/10
3. (This Song's Just) Six Words Long - Excellent parody! Very true about songwriting. 10/10
4. You Make Me - Again, this one's random, and the music's all right. But, as in the case with SIACWVW, this is missing something as well. 6/10
5. I Think I'm A Clone Now - A very enjoyable song; I have loved this one for a long time. Interestingly enough, I was taking a biology class at the time I first heard this song - if a discussion came up about cloning, I should have played this! 9.5/10
6. Lasagna - The weakest parody here, and even this isn't bad. The music is good, especially the gargling. 6/10
7. Melanie - While I haven't been as outrageous as Al in this song (I haven't given any cats mohawks), I have had similar problems from the opposite sex, so it's one I can relate to. The best original on the ALbum. Also, it's one of Al's best vocal performances, and the accordion is good too. 9.5/10
8. Alimony - Great parody! Sounds a lot like Mony Mony! Since Al has done references to other songs by the artist in parodies, my only regret about this song is that Al didn't do an "oh, oh, oh, oh" as Billy Idol does in Dancing With Myself. 9/10
9. Velvet Elvis - Underrated. A very good song. I have friends who are Police fans, and I played this for them, and they were impressed by its resemblance of the style. 9/10
10. Twister - I don't remember the original Twister commercial, but Al doing rap is usually good. 7/10
11. Good Old Days - The best choice for the last track. I really enjoy this. 9/10
