Wow, you have that same one, Dave? Cool!

Anyway, I think we helped.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

What does everyone think of the song "Velvet Elvis"? I think it's really a catchy song and a good song that doesn't get mention much.

I like it. It's a Police style parody, and very well done.

Velvet Elvis, he's so fuzzy
Velvet Elvis, he's so great
Never ages, never puts on weight.

Now, if I could stop aging or putting on weight, I'd be golden!

I really like the song. It always tickles me the way Al goes from being all faux-worshippy straight to being glad Elvis covers up the hole in the wall. :P
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

I think it's a pretty good song. It has a nice tune, and it has clever lyrics.

This is a good song done in the style of the Police. Al is very clever with the lyrics, and I like it too. I read somewhere that Velvet Elvis was played on a comedy hour special on BBC radio.

I got Even Worse on tape when it came out, and this song didn't leave an impression. I hadn't listened to the album in years and honestly couldn't even remember "Velvet Elvis". However, having just recently bought it again (this time on vinyl) this song really stood out for me. A great Police style parody, and some really funny parts (like what OE said!)

I have a fantasy that someday I will have a Weird Al room in my house and you can be sure there will be a velvet Elvis hanging on the wall. Probably right above the miniature ball of twine. :king:
