I thought the song was ok but I HATED the music video. The Night Santa Went Crazy was MUCH better. Even thought it doesn't have a music video

I've always liked it. Especially when I'm in the mall. I had never seen the video, though, until I got my Ultimate Collection. I found it disturbing and kind of a sad commentary on how readily we'll all blow each other up when we could be enjoying Santa-time. Great black humor.

Dr. Demento rightfully pulled it from his usual Christmas playlist in 2001 and 2002, but it's resurfaced (And is doing quite well on the show).alexina @ Dec 10 2003, 01:38 PM wrote:
I recently was wondering if that song would now be even more taboo than it already was, because of the unfortunately specific new connotations of the phrase "Ground Zero"....
You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?

Like Algonacchick said, I believe it's really a style parody of the mid-60s Christmas records produced by Phil Spector. Heavy on the bells, Wall of Sound-esque production, all that stuff.Bruce the Duck @ Dec 10 2003, 05:29 PM wrote: Speaking of C@GZ, does anyone know what particular song(s) were the focus of the "style" of the song?
I'm ranking every Beatles song on my new pop culture blog. Check it out!
