Prefer the live version, mostly because it has Al rolling around on a platform with his foot behind his head...
and then theres Ruben....
The first time i saw that live it was at a friends house and we were rewatching it like 10 times and then we paused it right when Ruben comes on stage while we ate and we were wtching that freeze frame while we ate.

So happy I finally caught a version of this live a couple times. I like the acoustic version the most too, with the exception of the original album recording. I was thinking Steve was going to do the classic bass line at the beginning but I loved what they did to it this year. Amazing job all around!

When I was in 1st grade, they had a day where you brought in the music you listened to and I brought in Like A Surgeon. Everyone seemed to like it.

I love his cute high pitched voice in this song. I think they referenced the video in the Happy Tree Friends episode "A Change of Heart."

I'm sure this is old news but I just watched this video for the first time in a long time... never noticed that one of the patients was reading the midnight star
