World of Weird Al Yankovic

I don't remember seeing this mentioned, unless possibly way in the depths of the AORTB topic, but I've always wondered why Al never recorded a studio dub of this. Anyone have any insights? I think it would have sounded great and I'm even surprised that when done live it's still done like the original recording Al did.

I think it's good the way it is, more raw. Live too, they probably like it like that. Sometimes it is better to just leave well enough alone.

He said once it was "too authentic to remake". I don't remember which interview it was.
