So the rating system doesn't stay the same? It varies by song, I'm not sure that makes sense.

It's almost as if rating songs on a scale of 1 to 5 is a completely arbitrary and essentially meaningless designation!

Yes. It's quite arbitrary. I like songs for different reasons. It's not meaningless at all. The rating shows whether I really dislike a song, kind of dislike it, kind of like it, really like it, or love it. Each of his songs are different, so I enjoy them for different reasons. This isn't the scientific method. It's not that complicated, guys. Don't overthink this. Short, fast & simple aren't criteria. They are simply a way to express why I like that particular song.
