Yeah, I know, but I've always spelled it with an A for some reason and I'm too stubborn to change. :P

El, I think you're excused from Hooligan status if you actually paid for the album and didn't get the right version.
If it's ok to do that then, I may have to. I only have the error version, and can't afford to buy a whole box set for one song.
I'm ranking every Beatles song on my new pop culture blog. Check it out!

"Hills That Is"? Oh okay! For some reason, I thought he said something like "Kill Status" or something.

I mean, I don't think you were THERE at Cal Poly when it happened ... considering you'd have been negative-eight years old at the time ... :P
If only I was there. If only. :?

I have a really clear version of this song, and this is what the lyrics in mine say:

Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo

Come and listen will I tell
You a man named Jed
Aha
A poor Mountaineer barely kept his family fed
Aha

Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo

Hey!

Come listen to me now, I'll tell you a story
About a man named Jed
Tell ya'll somethin' he was a poor mountaineer
Barely kept his family fed!

Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo

Chord Change!

Then on day he was shooting at some food
When up from the ground came a bubblin' crude

Oil that is! Black Gold!

Ahhhhhhhh

Uhhhhhhhh

Well the first thing ya now
Old Jed’s a millionaire
Kin folks said
Chh Chh Chh
Jed Move away from there

Sometimes I say to myself, I say...

Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo

Said California is the place you outta be
So they loaded up the truck and they moved to Beverly...
Hills that is!

Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo Oo
Oo Oo Oo Oo

It's weird that both Beveryl Hillbillies/ Miss You and Money for Nothing/ Bevrly Hillbillies have similar titles, yet Al has said that he was pretty much forced to give Money for Nothing/ Beverly Hillbillies that title. I wonder if he wanted Beverly Hillbillies/ Miss You the title that it got.

On the DMDB site, Jeff Morris lists the song as "The Beverly Hillbillies Miss You" and then lists it again (on the same page, mind you) with the "slashed" title, so it seems as if there's some differing of opinions on what the official title is.

I do wonder if the parody was ever actually given an official title back in the day or if it was sort of retroactively christened with a title that was more or less inspired by the title for MFN/BH.

For the Songography, I kinda compromised and listed the song like this....
