You can hear Al say "Hi, I'm Al, and I like honey roasted peanuts" when you listen to BNL's new song, Snacktime. Someone commented on Al's myspace page about it, so I went to BNL's myspace page, and listened to the song. They have a new children's album, and that's the title track. Other celebrities talking about their favorite snacks include Geddy Lee, Sarah McLachlan, Harland Williams and Gordon Lightfoot. Anyway, I thought it was kinda cool to hear Al on the song.

Sorry I got distracted by one of the other songs...

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10.
"What about 9?!?"
7 ate 9.

You know, I hadn't even listened to that one yet, but that was my guess as to what happened to 9.

:D

Anyway, yeah, Al can be heard on Snacktime...the cd comes out May 6th.

I just heard Snacktime. It's a great song! But when I heard Al say his little line, it sounded like he had a cold! :(

It might have just been the fuzzy audio, though.

He sounded fine to me.

I like the song, too. I think it''s great that BNL have done a children's album.

I have a feeling Snacktime will be added to the Yankovic cd library.

I've never seen this mentioned here before. I just downloaded Barenaked Ladies' children's album, "Snacktime" from iTunes. They have a track called "The Canadian Snacktime Trilogy Part 1: Snacktime." During part of the song, a bunch of random people and celebrities say what snacks they like.

During this bit, Al can be heard saying, "Hi, I'm Al, and I like honey roasted peanuts." Check it out! It's clearly our Al! Al comes in at about 2:38 on the track. :Y

Mods, I did a search and didn't see this anywhere.

That's awesome. I"m not at all surprised that they would have asked Al to appear on that album. How is the rest of it? I've been meaning to pick it up.

I did a search and didn't see this anywhere.

I heard it mentioned here before, around that time when Al played accordion on stage with BNL
