I have heard that this song is in fan circulation, but I've never found a single trace of it anywhere. Are there different lyrics to it than the original version? Could someone tell me anything about it?

Cool. Tell me if it's better or worse than the original if you can, I'd love to know about the recording.

It's basically a live version of Belvedere Cruisin'. That's it.

When I ever finish the second disc of "Return To Burgeropolis", it'll be on it. Wait a minute.... no, I think that was on Disc One, which I already uploaded somewhere... either way, yeah, it's floating around now.

Listening to it right now. Considerably faster tempo than the solo version, and someone (probably his friend Joel) plays bongos throughout.

Wow, pretty cool find!
It absolutely blows my mind that there exists somewhere a *very* high quality recording of at least one of Al's Coffeehouse performances. We have to find the whole thing!!

Well it was submitted on a tape to Dr. Demento by Beefalo Bill. according to the DMDB, Beverly Hillbillies/Miss You was the other track on the tape, so it may be possible that those were the only 2 recordings on that tape, unless there are more out there we don't know about that were never aired. Both were performed on the coffee house in October '78.

Yes, but don't forget that HQ snippets of "Mr. Frump" and "The Elements" were played on Driven.
