That hits the nail right on the head for me. I just can't stop smiling during an Al show, regardless of how many times I've seen the same show. It's just an awesome experience that I can never get enough of.

Any avid concertgoer loves to see their favorite band or performer as often as possible, just seems logical to stack up numbers and experience all you can, while you can. And yeah no show is ever the SAME, they may do the same songs each tour but the experience is always a new memory of greatness. Based on longevity and being so them, Al is #1 for me but I have about fifteen or so "favorite" bands I catch every show I can before it is all over, people can kick the bucket at any time, in music it happens all too often. Have said goodbye to a lot of legendary bands as of late, who still play shows but have lost very important guys and now it just is not worth travelling so far to them again and again. We still got the big four with "Weird Al", hold onto every live moment you can folks!
What a racket they're makin', Jack, they keep me up at night playin' their electric guitars!!

Maybe if he comes by again we can meet up and chill out!
(But really, any city that isn't Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver is 'smalltown-nowhere'. Weh weh!)

For those who have attented previous years' concerts; were the video clips different, or are they just added to every year? Or were they even there at all, at some point?

He changes clips every tour. Not every clip is changed, but you'll see new ones each tour, sometimes in the middle of a tour

For those who've gone to multiple shows, who seems to have the most energy; Jim or Steve? In some live videos I'm watching, Jim seems to be more... mm... limber? Move-y? But Steve always seems to be smiling! Now, it could just be the camera angles, too. But what do you think? I'm trying to get more familiar with the other band members, and watching them in the live shows is quite entertaining! (Ruben and Bermuda, too, of course. But they're often obscured!)

Also, in some videos, during *HANDY*, another voice repeats some words. Is that Bermuda???

(Edit: I said Tacky instead of Handy oops)

Bermuda picks up some of the backing vocals, although I'm not sure if that is the case with Tacky. On the last tour, Bermuda did a lot of the backing vocals to "Another Tattoo," which was hilarious.

How many concerts have I attended? Well, I have finally cracked the double digits! 10 so far, with an 11th still to come.

Halifax, NS - 1995 (2 shows, same day)
Madison, WI - 1996
Milwaukee, WI - 1996
Halifax, NS - 1999
Toronto, ON - 2011
Regina, SK - 2012
Hamburg, NY - 2013
Halifax, NS - 2015 (2 shows, separate days)

Now, a question for you all!! Being a historian of sorts somewhat obsessed with researching anything Al-related as connected to Halifax, NS (my hometown), I have just made a new-to-me discovery. In this old interview with Roseanne, Al mentions (at 2:03) that a hardcore fan traveled all the way from California to Nova Scotia to see him. Does anyone know who this was or have a guess as to who it might have been? One of our famous longtime tour chasers, perhaps?

He's referring to the 1999 concert.

If you think it's you he's referring to here, give a wave! :)

St. Augustine, June 11th, was my second time seeing him. Hubby gave me the trip for my 50th birthday!

First time was in August, 2015 (think) in Charleston, SC.

Hope to go again.

I think, 3-4 times in the past 6 years. I'd do more, but with no car, doing shows that are close but in another state are hard. Example: he's playing Delaware. I live in PA. Sure, I could hop a train, but I'm sure I'd need to add a cab ride from there. Bit of a process.
