Yeah I gave up on that project when I went to the 2002 Tour and Al's exhibit had at least 100 that I hadn't seen before.....Elvis wrote:Almost as obsessive as the time Richard Green tried to catalog all of Al's Hawaiian shirts!

Re: Pre-Show CDs
I just realized that after the Meadowbrook show that I hadn't posted an updated list of the pre-show music here. I figured out most of the songs on CD 1 besides the instrumentals, a Spanish song and some song that spells out M-O-V-E. If anyone remembers hearing these, and knows what they are, fill it in.
CD 1 -- In Order from beginning of CD.
"Don't Bring Me Down" -- Electric Light Orchestra
"Under The Milky Way" -- Sia
"Technicolor" -- Tim Myers
"Look Good In Leather" -- Cody Chesnutt
"Shiny Toy Guns" -- Major Tom
"If Nothing Happened" -- PaperDoll
Unknown -- MOVE
"Let It Go" - The Village Green
Unknown Drum Beat Song
"Bourgeois Shangri-La" -- Miss Li
"No You Girls" - Franz Ferdinand
"Don't Look Away" - The Helio Sequence
"Under Control" - Rootbeer feat. Pigeon John and Flynn Adam
"The Shock of the Lightning" - Oasis
"Around The Bend" - The Asteroids Galaxy Tour
"How You Like Me Now" - The Heavy
"Chelsea Dagger" - The Fratellis
Unknown Spanish Song
Unknown Instrumental
Not sure of what the theme is for this set of music, but these are the songs. Unless it's that a lot are used in different commercials.
It seems like they start in enough time for the CD to, at least play through once, for the concert's schedule start time. Each theater varies on their policy of when they let you into the theater. Some 30 mins so they can try to sell more concessions. Usually it's an hour. Then, a few venues like Meadowbrook, let you in 90 mins before. So, what you can hear from the beginning of the CD(s) does vary. The concert usually starts somewhere around the time of How You Like Me Now, Chelsea Dagger, the last two unkowns, or Don't Bring Me Down.
Haven't been able to update the Alternate CD 1, which contains at least one alternate song which is listed earlier in this topic. Or the CD 2. I haven't heard the Alternate CD 1 since 2010. Also, unless it was played at the six farther out west shows of the Spring tour, CD 2 was only played at the St. Charles, MO-Family Arena show on June 3.

Pre-Show CDs
How is it you know all these songs Jeremy? Do you listen to that much music, or just asking around? You seem to have the list almost instantly

Re: Pre-Show CDs
Usually, I just take a notepad to the show and during the pre-show music, write down whatever words I can make out. Then, whenever I get back to the hotel, just search for them and see what comes up.

And here I thought Dave was the only person to take notes at shows.
