We have a title! Jackson Park Express. So it's probably a song about a bus line or a train line. Maybe told from the driver about the people who get off and on?

For some reason, I'm picturing a bit of a a slower song in my mind.

Very excited to hear this song; I really want to know the style it's going for!

I agree with tomatochives; the title makes me think this song will have a similar feel to The Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota, even if the music style is completely different. You know, some kind of 'long-and-awesome road trip'. If that's the case mrmeadows should be happy.

It's been since Genius in France when we got a song this long that wasn't a parody. I don't know if this will be able to top Albuquerque, but I'm very excited to listen to this one.

As this is the song to close out what's probably Al's final studio album, what are the chances of this being a true original? (As in, not a style parody)

I'd say pretty unlikely. It's always been his thing with originals to make them inspired by other artists, even more so since the term "style parody" was coined and he started openly acknowledging the artists he was spoofing. The only song that I would say is potentially 100% original is probably "UHF".

Wasn't UHF partially inspired by Michael Jackson and Mick Jagger's State of Shock, or is that a coincidence?

There are a handful over the years that we all seem to agree were 100% original, at least according to this thread. But the long album closers have all been style parodies of some kind so far. I'm predicting (again, this is based on nothing!) a classic rock style parody here of some kind. Springsteen??? It definitely has the potential to be pretty wild at that length!

Well most of us have predicted this is a sprawling story, like Twine Ball. Are there any artists we can think of who do long, drawn out story-songs?
