Wild "he's in denial" speculation: There's a chance Foil could be a parody of Roar, right?

I...never thought of that...holy crap!!! I was hoping for a Royals and Roar parody, but only one can win...

I almost posted to ask if we were positive it was Royals, but got sidetracked typing my very stupid "Spoiled" parody and decided I wasn't contributing anything. :zipper: I wasn't sure what other songs could be applicable, but "Roar" is curious...

One note: If the first song IS the Fancy parody, both Royals and Fancy have very bare-bones instrumentation - would he put them so close together?

Bermuda said the targets would be obvious based on the titles. "Royal" and "Foil" rhyme. They both are two-syllable words. "Roar" fits neither, and it clearly isn't the "obvious" assumption here, so I don't think so.

He would if the song between them is a rocking, loud rock song like CNR.

I showed the track list to a friend and her immediate suggestion was "Sail" by AWOLNATION?! I'd never heard it and it looks to be a little too old. I'll stick with "Royals". :)

More silly speculation: What are the odds that this might be "Roar" by Katy Perry?
