Re: My Own Eyes
I had a dream where this song was a style parody of 70s disco and Amanda Palmer sung pretty much all of it. I... don't think this is a dream that's too likely to come true, thankfully.

Re: My Own Eyes
- Spoiler:
- the music during the instrumental part and the end of the song is the exact same tune as the bit in "Polkarama" between "I Kissed a Girl" and "Candy Shop". Interesting

Re: My Own Eyes
Nice observation Bruce [edit: well, if you were right! ]! I think he really knocked it out of the park with this one as far as style parodies go, just dead on, right down to the earnest vocal delivery. Possibly because of the latter, the first line of the song makes me laugh every time I hear it, and it's not even particularly funny!

This is a great song, too. Fantastic album, overall.

Another amazing song from the album. Already said this before on another thread but this is my favorite Al-bum since Poodle Hat only on one listen.

Re: My Own Eyes
Might sound odd, but I enjoyed this song the more it went on. Might be thinking ahead here, and most likely it will anyway but I sincerely hope this gets played on the next tour!

- I noticed that too! Not "I Kissed a Girl", though, "Slither" by Velvet Revolver is the song that leads into "Candy Shop" and that's where the riff is taken from.

Re: My Own Eyes
Am I right that it's a Foo style parody?
