The lead singer of Vampire Weekend went to my high school. And my high school is one of the whitest, blandest, most sheltered institutions in the US.

So a VW pastiche would be perfect for this song. :P

If it was (which I am doubting it is)(no offense) that means Iggy would be on the album twice! I think that we have all the parody targets figured out, unless Inactive really isn't Radioactive...

Well nirvana was on the same album twice as well as Eminem so I don't see how that means anything.

It has less to do with an artist being on the album twice and more to do with the reasonably well-established pattern for parodies and originals on Al's album. (And don't bring up SOL - that was a special case due to the unusual length of TitDT.) It's a safe bet that both "Tacky" and "Inactive" are parodies, so having this be a parody would mean three parodies in a row, and it would also mean that either "Word Crimes" or "Foil" are originals.

So in other words...no.

It's not impossible. Just extremely unlikely based on what we know.
