This is awesome. Amanda Palmer's bit is wonderful. She does exactly what Kim Deal would be doing.

Also her part isn't that small? She sings backup in the chorus, does the spoken bit, and makes weird noises! Whole lot of Kim Deal impersonations going on.

I do suppose it does make a lot of sense with her part now that I listen to some more Pixies songs (I should really get into them... I'm loving the sound) Apologies for my lack of knowledge :p

This is my least favorite song on the album. I dunno, maybe it's because I'm not a fan of the band it's style-parodying. I found it pretty weak material.

I think for the most part the title was self-explanatory but I still found it funny and loved the style as well.

this is a great song. reminds me of liam lynch's "fake pixies song."

all of the pixies albums are good but the Death to the Pixies" best of is the best collection.
taste is only something if it is yours.

Is it just me or does Al almost sound like Fred Schneider at points in the chorus?

LYRICS
Spoiler:
First World Problems -- Style Parody of The Pixies
My maid is cleaning the bathroom,
So, I can take a shower,
When I do the water starts getting cold,
After an hour,
I couldn't order off the breakfast menu,
'Cause I slept in till two,
Then, I filled up on bread,
Didn't leave any room for tiramisu,
Oh no, there's a pixel out,
In the corner of my laptop screen,
I don't have any bills in my wallet small enough,
For the vending machine,
Some idiot just called me up on the phone, *What?!*
Don't they know how to text, OMG!
Chorus:
I got First World, First World Problems, *First World Problems*
O-o-o-o-o-o, First World, First World Problems, *First World Problems*
O-o-o-o-o-o, First World, First World Problems
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I bought too many groceries,
For my refrigerator,
Forgot my gardener's name,
I'll have to ask him later,
Tried to fast-forward commercials,
Can't! I'm watching live TV!
I'm pretty sure the cookies in this airport now,
But you ain't gluten-free,
My barista didn't even bother,
To make a design in the foam on the top of my vanilla latee!
Chorus:
First World, First World Problems, *First World Problems*
First World, First World Problems, *First World Problems*
First World, First World Problems
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can't remember which car I drove,
To the mall,
My SonicK won't recharge,
Now I gotta brush my teeth like a Neanderthal
The thread count in these cotton sheets,
Has got me itching,
My house is so big,
I can't get WiFi in the kitchen,
I had to buy something I didn't even need,
Just so I could qualify for Free Shipping on Amazon!
Chorus:
First World, First World Problems *First World Problems*
First World, First World Problems *First World Problems*
First World, First World Problems *First World Problems*
First World, First World Problems *First World Problems*
First World, First World Problems *First World Problems*
First World, First World Problems *Heh-heh-heh-Gasping-Gasping* *Amanda Laughing*

Haven't heard this one yet, but I was just listening to some Pixies tracks to prepare for this
Spoiler:
Kinda disappointed to read that it mostly borrows from Monkey Gone To Heaven as I really didn't care for that song upon first listen, but I'll listen to that and "Debaser" a bit more and hopefully they'll grow on me a bit by the time I hear this track.
