Originals, but came close this time. Foil is pure art.

I picked parodies. It might be that I've been in tune with contemporary music over the last few years unlike some people here who look up songs when they hear they're getting a Weird Al parody. The only song I looked up after hearing Al was going to do it was Fancy, but that was way back in late May-early June, and I feel like even if I didn't go on the forum or know what songs were on MF I still would've heard it before July 15th somehow. Anwyay, knowing the original songs I think adds a lot to when you hear the parody. Aside from that, Foil, Word Crimes, and Tacky are just brilliantly clever.

Some of the originals on MF really shine, such as First World Problems and Jackson Park Express. Others just seemed average to me, like LCTF or My Own Eyes. Mission Statement, while a brilliant pastiche of CSNY, isn't really as funny as the rest of the songs on the album, in my opinion. After a month, I find myself sometimes skipping an original or too, but never the parodies or polka.

This was a hard decision for me. LOVED the entire album, but originals were very good on this album (Mission Statement is a brilliant piece of work). Honestly, originals are better to a die-hard Al fan, but I would assume most casual listeners would choose parodies.

I voted for originals, but the difference is rather marginal. Both my favourite and least favourite songs are originals, and parodies are somewhere in between.

OK, but I was more confused about "don't name me choose". I guess you meant "don't MAKE me choose", but it took me a while to realize that's what you must have meant :D

Oh right. That's what I get for writing on a phoneme with autocorrect and not proofreading

I originally voted for parodies, but the more I think about it this album is a 50-50 split. If it weren't for "Inactive" being my least favorite song, parodies would have won easily. And then "First World Problems" and "Lame Claim to Fame" are fantastic.

I want to rescind my vote.
