could get an award from this forum, but there's no reason to. The existence of the forum is victory enough. Al's full name is in the name of the freaking award show!!
The Emmys is always exempt from the Best Variety Special categories, even though they are better produced than the Tonys, Oscars, etc; I would see this as the same kind of thing.

all award's shows are masturbatory in a way. the question is, would Al even care about winning a silly award from this board. if we must take the woway awards seriously then I suggest we urge Al, rather than do another dumb Reddit thing, to spend an hour or so replying to posts on the board. would be legendary for morale.
