I'm on a bus heading home from San Antonio. Once I get back I'm gonna get ready to head out and take my little sister to her first show!

What should have been a simple flight and relaxing day turned into a loooooooooooong adventure, but we somehow made it. Our seats were technically front row but so far off to the side the sound was distorted. I really hate that venues even sell seats like this with obstructed views. Next year I'll probably have to go to less shows so I can take the money I save and buy VIP/Czar tickets for the shows I go to just for the piece of mind that I won't have crummy seats when I get to the venue. Guess that's just the way it is now. At least the show was good and the audience was excellent and a great after show experience which made up for it. There were stormtroopers in the lobby before the show. Two costumed teen girls sitting next to us were dancing and screaming the whole show having the time of their life. Another standing ovation for the entire encore. And Jackie got a prize of a sticker for her 100th show, and apparently will get a keychain for her 200th. Also a hug from Bermuda. And people clapped for her which was cool. 8)

I will post more at some point tomorrow, but it was an AWESOME show. Great way to end my series of concerts this year.

Since the entire encore had everyone standing, I held up my little sister through the WHOLE THING. 90 pounds, psssshhh. Detailed review later!

This review is going to slightly (or almost completely) lean toward my little sister's experience.

We left late because I fell asleep; I was really tired from the night before. We got in the car and got inside at about 7:30. We almost waited in the merch line, but when I remembered what time it was, we decided to find our seats. We talked to a couple of people seated behind us before showtime.

My little sister watched intently when the flipping through channels bit began. Al took to the halls for Tacky and walked through the entrance to our left. For "Lame Claim To Fame" Al started by saying, "Hello Grand Prairie!" Big shocker! The sound in the theater was clear and really nice. My little sister was slightly embarrassed at one part of the polka because of the video, but the polka had a lot of her favorite songs, so she liked it a lot.

She also really liked his octopus with blonde hair costume. I'm pretty sure she was eyeing the whole band during the song because of how ridiculous the whole thing was. "Dare To Be Stupid" was fun, as always. Isabelle (my sister) also loved "Fat." She got a huge kick out Santa losing his teeth, even though she always goes to see him at the mall.

Isabelle's favorite song off Mandatory Fun is "Foil," so she was very happy to see it live. "Smells Like Nirvana" was fun, and the cheerleaders were pretty good. The medley was awesome, as usual. Isabelle got a bunch of the streamers from Canadian Idiot; she said she's going to keep them. During "Wanna B Ur Lovr," Al got really close to us; Isabelle loved this part. "Amish Paradise" was really awesome, and I still love the jam they play at the end. The audience was so enthusiastic, and it almost felt like the jam was longer than usual that night.

Before "The Saga Begins" started, I handed my sister my cellphone; she looked confused, but when the song started, she waved it in the air enthusiastically, and soon, everyone else followed. For most of the encore, I picked her up to get a better view, and I made sure she could see the band. My arms are STILL tired, but it was totally worth it. We were singing along basically the entire time. Al seemed really happy during this show, and it seemed to be because the audience here was WAY more enthusiastic than usual. I've been to all the shows in this venue, aside from Al's first, and this was the first time the audience stood for the entire encore.

After the show, we waited in line for the merch stand and bought a hoodie, Tacky shirt (for Isabelle) and the button set. We hung out at the gate for the bus for a while, but Isabelle was hungry and tired, so we left. While we were outside, Jim walked by a couple of times, but he didn't really have time to stop with us. We said hi to him and congratulated him on his performance.
