The one show I saw at a racetrack was all inside the infield. I think there's almost no chance the seating for the concert would be the seating for the race track. It would be too wide, so most seats would be at an extreme angle. I bet there will be standing room only on the infield of the track.

This is also what I thought but then my friend said no ..there will be seating. He can be wrong though. He has actually been there. Though I thought this too--that everyone would have to stand.

maybe I will take some video. I am optimistic I will get up front. But I am a YouTube virgin. Not that I don't want to learn though. We will see. Just thinking out loud here

If you see a middle aged woman wearing a tin foil hat enhanced very tackily with LED lights..that is probably me. That is, IF I can get my geek on in time for the show.

Hi, everybody-I live in San Diego, and have been to one of these concerts. It's the Del Mar summer concert series, and the concerts are at a stage which is set up at right angles to the large grandstand seating area.
(As you face the racetrack, the stage is to the far left.) There is NO seating--this is a standing-only concert, on asphalt, and it's sure to be a hot day, so be prepared. People do bring blankets and lawn chairs to hold their places in front of the stage, but they all have to be picked up when the concert starts. I believe there were a very few places along the perimeter of the audience area where people were allowed to stay in their lawn chairs.

SO excited for this!! Even though, the last time I was at a SRO show there was no WBUL, which makes me wonder how he'll do Tacky if not by going through the audience. Maybe he'll come in on a horse.
Can't wait!! You should see me, TMBJon and MandatoryFun as close to the front of the stage as possible. I'll be the one in the chicken hat dancing the whole time.

This picture makes it seem like there's a catwalk that comes out from the middle of the stage...If here were to still do WBUL, he could just make use of the catwalk instead of going out into the audience. I'd be super stoked about that. Maybe that's not a catwalk and just some weird barrier in the middle for some reason, but like, if there's barriers and stairs, then he could come down? I just want WBUL from the stage I don't care I'll be right up front anyway so might as well, right? Or maybe just like, he comes out in the WBUL costume but they do Radio Radio and he still strips at the end. Except now that I suggested that, it won't happen.

WBUL in some form please and thank you?

It looks more like a barrier, but he could walk through it.

Though, I prefer the suggestion of stripping to radio radio.

Very excited to go to my second show of the Mandatory Fun Tour this Friday night!!!!
And I'm bringing along Drew AKA WOWAY Award-winner for Best Signature, MandatoryFun! It'll be his first Weird Al concert!

PS Do not tell Scott Aukerman that I'm going to this, as I'm leaving work early in order to attend.
