Let me think,

I have more video's than I can count, thanks to a friend ( )I haven't even see them all.

I have, no joke, 27 Al cd's.........(some repeats)

no vinyl

a few cassettes made for me by well meaning friends early in my discovery of Al.

Al's press kit from TWS/RWS

Several pics

the parody poster from Episode 1 (side by side with the Anakin version)

I have an autographed laminate from TWS I won off eBay. (probably not authentic, but it makes me happy)

Autographs I, personally retrieved:

Al (several)

Jim West

Steve Jay

still need Berm and Ruben (sp)

I have all the notes I took while getting pre show instructions from Mongo.........

I have a picture of me and Larry Weaver backstage at Great America, just before I took the stage

I have Al's "Nirvana" cup

and.........probably my favorite because nobody else has it............

my (first generation) reel to reel taped interview with Al. It was done at the last station I worked at, by my (current) morning show co-host.

It isn't the best interview, by any means..........but it's unique. LOL

What else..........ah, yes......still spending $$

"wish list"

scarf or boxers

framed gold or platinum achievment award (any album)

You collect other artists too, don't you? Do you have any idea how large your *total* collection is?

Nope, I just collect my work (which includes a huge amount of the Al stuff in the archive) and a relative handful of Al-sans-band projects.

How many Al artifacts do you own?

[/quote]

Not as much as I should! j/k

OK, here's what I've got:

-All 10 studio ALbums

-GH2 and the Gump CD single (7-track)

-WAY Live (VHS and DVD)

-BHD Video Collection (VHS)

-Alapalooza Video Collection (VHS)

-"Weird Al" Yankovic: The Videos (DVD)

-Several Al tapes (of TV specials and whatnot)

-The "Weird Al" Yankovic Anthology (songbook)

-An autographed pic of Al

And if we want to REALLY stretch it...

-Several Hawaiian shirts

-Concert/Backstage photos

-Autographs (everyone except Steve and Rubén)

-Concert ticket stubs and such...

-Cartoon drawings of Al and the band that I've made

That's all I can think of at the moment...

Do you continue to make Al purchases?
But of course!
What is your prized posession?
Oohh... tough one... as of now, I'll say an enlarged pic of AL and I backstage in Toledo, which I later had him autograph at King's Island...
Most you ever spent?

Not sure, sorry.

Good discussion topic, Kim!

I don't have much in the WAY of memorabilia (artifacts sounds like he's prehistoric or dead or something, God forbid) because I would have to get EVERYTHING if I got started. I do have some treasured things, however...

What is your prized posession?

I think my most prized Al possession is the interview tapes of Al and Berm and Jay and Steve and Ruben and Rick Derringer and Dr. Demento, all of whom helped me a great deal on my Goldmine article. A snapshot of Al and me holding up that Goldmine magazine that he autographed for me at the Poughkeesie "Halloween mix-and-match costume night" ranks a close second.

I have that zine! Great article, by the way. You must be very proud.

I remember checking "Borders Books" almost daily in anticipation for their Goldmine arrival.

I don't have a whole lot of stuff, my video collection is pretty good (over 150 hours of Al *sigh* but my most prized item is my signed Nirvana cup:) And the memories I have of meeting (and hugging Al)!!
