How many Al artifacts do you own?

I estimate that I own 30 Al or Al-related items... maybe more.

Do you continue to make Al purchases?

Oh yes. In fact, I have to get another copy of RWS because the jewl case was stolen a long time ago along with a bunch of CD's. I still have RWS, I just want the jewl case and an extra CD to take to school.

What is your prized posession?

Ummmm... those 7 issues of The Midnight Star I got off of E-Bay. But the one that takes the cake is the Alapalooza cassette that made me a super Al fan, but I let a friend borrow it and he dissapeared, so I need to buy another one...

Most you ever spent?

I bought six CD's once from E-Bay for $38, including shipping. Then I had two copies of the Alapalooza CD so I gave one to a friend so she could get hooked on Al, since Alapalooza has some really magical power to hook people on Al music, kinda like RWS.

I'll agree to that! Alapalooza is the ALbum that made be a fan, and RWS is the one that made me a superfan!

Ok, here's my 27 cents...

My collection of Al-artifacts:

- all of the studio releases on CD

- "Polka Party" on vinyl

- the "Gump" CD single

- "Peter and the Wolf" on vinyl (eBay)

- "UHF" video (eBay)

- video collections on VHS & DVD

- "The Compleat Al" on VHS (eBay, not too pricey though!)

- WAY Live on DVD

- the issue of Goldmine with Chuck's article about Al

- the scarf I got in New London

- various ticket stubs

- RWS tour shirts (actual & Al-akin parody)

- my Al-Team t-shirt (#29)

- my growing Hawaiian shirt collection (10 and counting)

Do I continue to scout out Al artifacts?

- I'm taking a bit of a break right now but will probably pick up the pace when the next album is released or when UHF comes out on DVD, whichever comes first  ... as far as money spent it's a close call between the PATW album and the UHF video, both eBay finds.

Most valued/treasured Al artifact:

- the New London scarf

thanks for listening,

- Laurie

I've got a bunch of Al-related things and have a tendency to save ticket stubs and airline tickets for show trips. The most treasured of these things:

1) a photograph of Al hugging me right after I had given him his birthday present backstage after the Ottawa show 10/23/99-that whole night was the most special of all the shows and experiences I've had involving Al

2)runner-up: A photo of Al during LAS that I took at the Dallas concert 3/11/00, had enlarged and gave to a friend for Al to sign when she saw him in Houston the following weekend. It has a very very special inscription directly to me .

Yes.

My tattoos.
Most you ever spent?

I don't keep a record of what I spent, but it's always been within my means.
