I can usually somewhat understand his jokes but I have no idea what this means.

I actually saw an article yesterday that mistakenly used this. Because Al Franken is in the news for some sexual misconduct, some outlets have referred to him as "Weird", which they then use the nickname "Weird Al (Franken)". It is accidently attributing his name to these guys.

It's calling out a lot of other Al celebrities, saying that they can't refer to themselves as "Weird Al," as our Al just renewed his trademark on the name.

Hopefully he never hears me call my daughter (Alice) that name. When she acts a bit like her daddy that is what I will call her.

So will Al re-record Franken Green Jazeera after this?

Either he lurks on here and saw I was confused or there were many others just like me since he decided to explain further

I'm sure he's hearing from tons of people about this. It's really not cool. I would've said something about it too if I were him.
