Why is that?

Again, I think they may not be able to pull off those two songs without backing tracks (especially EYKIW, but I can see them maybe pulling "Attack Of The Radioactive Hamsters From A Planet Near Mars" no problem).

Yankomaniac confirmed those not being performed (I'm assuming he asked Al or someone in the band)

Eh, I'm sure TMBG could perform Everything You Know Is Wrong no problem, and they basically have the same live band formation that Al does. The bari sax part would have to be played on something else, but otherwise it isn't' too crazy. It would be perfect for one of the NYC shows since that's TMBG's hometown and will have a high portion of TMBG fans at it. Until confirmed, I'm not assuming anything except fan speculation.

Hello,

I would like to confirm that Christmas at Ground Zero was played last night (March 8) at the first of two Danforth Music Hall shows in Toronto, ON.

It's nice to see people are keeping track.

Well then, I could see Ruben playing the Bari sax part on his keyboard (as well as the opening organ part if Al can't or doesn't want to change the setting on his MIDI accordion mid song...no pun intended). From some of the YouTube footage I've seen taken from the nosebleed seats, Ruben appears to be playing the sax parts during the lounge version of Amish Paradise on one of two keyboards and Al doesn't have his accordion with him during the unplugged medley at all. Since you put it that way, I could see how they COULD do it but its' now a question of whether or not they want to or if there is something else preventing them from being able to do this song.

TMBG has performed EVERY song off of their first 6 albums live (meaning every single song that was an inspiration for EYKIW) , although some arrangements are very different from the album versions. Even some lyrics were changed for the live versions for some reason. The only song I've known TMBG to claim was too hard to perform was Fake Amnesia (which has 13 guitar parts, although I'm sure they could have weaseled it down to 2), which is why they left it out of their complete Else Album concert.

Anyway my point is that I'm sure Al's band could manage that song live just fine.

Thought I'd mention a few things learned from today's cringe podcast:

1. It sounds like they have predetermined and locked-down the setlists for all the shows.
2. Bermuda hinted that there could be one or two more songs added.
3. As we already knew, Hardware Store and Genius in France are definitely not going to be played (probably never - in a way that resembles the recordings, at least)

That's all I can remember that relates to this tour. Jim and Bermuda seem like such nice dudes.

I listened to this podcast, and I think what he meant on point #1 is that Al has a plan to make sure that every show on this tour had a non-repeating setlist and a unique cover song each night. I don't think he's actually written each setlist for each specific night this far in advance. Bermuda also stated that Mission Statement WOULD NOT be performed on this tour due to the complexity of the vocal harmonies. Even more interesting is that he said they rehearsed a slowed down unplugged version of Hardware Store for this tour, but Al felt like it lost all its magic that way and that's why it was axed.

You might be right. He did say "Al's already got it all planned out. At the beginning of the tour we knew what every night was going to bring". I just listened to some parts again and realized he said 2019 would probably be "the show", seemingly referring to the typical format with videos, costumes, etc. That said, it seems like there are hints that it's not going to be quite like the previous tours.
