Any non-VIPs have any luck meeting Al outside after shows?

Post by ahmyeyesdotcom »

I’m a non-VIP for the Montreal Show, but I’d love to shake Al’s hand after the show! Has anyone managed to do so this tour? I’d read through the other specific show threads but I’m trying to avoid show spoilers!

Since there are not as many VIP's for Montreal and they have two days off I think you got a good chance! If the bus is visible, Montreal has a TON of venue parking garages, well hidden too.
What a racket they're makin', Jack, they keep me up at night playin' their electric guitars!!

It always depends on the venue and their schedule. I saw Al at Foxwoods Friday, so obviously being a Casino they have separate parking for the tour bus that the public wouldn't have access to. This is the case actually in a lot of venues now. I've also seen situations where the bus is accessible, but it's intentionally angled by the back door in such a way to allow Al and the band to leave right out the building with zero hassle.

I saw Al, Jim and Steve BEFORE the Tarrytown show when they arrived at the venue, but only long enough to say a quick hi as they weren't out there to greet fans.

I always get there early so I can find the busses so I know where to go after the show. Probably about 6 years ago I got there really early and heard them doing sound check and got to see All getting back onto the bus to get ready for the when they were done. He came up to the fence and said hi since there was a bunch of us standing around. I was my first time seeing him so close I was unable to speak I was in such shock
